Sherilyn - I have relooked at all the census records and 1900 thru 1930 all say Emma was b MD - what record indicates she was b PA?
The "book" is my compilation of all the BARTLETTs in the MD census (thru 1930), arranged as best I could into family groups. I, too, have been looking for Emma's maiden name (if it was not BARTLETT) and the father of her 3 sons. Perhaps if we can find a living male BARTLETT from this line, DNA would help [I notice a Charles F BARTLETT (Jr?) living in Columbia, MD...)
John B G Cleveland BARTLETT had a wife Lena (Carolina E KAPPES b 1891 PA), but he wasn't living with her in 1920, and in 1930 they were divorced - she had three children by then.Where was John BGC in 1920? See these records:
