S. BONAPARTE BARTLETT, son of William and Elmina Bartlett, natives respectively of New Hampshire and Vermont, who came to Wyoming county in 1820 and settled in Orangeville, and in 1846 removed to Warsaw, Wyoming Co., NY. A brother of Myron E. Bartlett [see his sketch], was born April 1st, 1849. He began studying law in 1867, and was admitted to the bar in Feb., 1873. He began to practice in Warsaw, NY. April 1st, 1876, the firm of Bartlett & Farman was formed, and existed one year. In July 1877, Mr. Bartlett entered into partnership with I. Sam Johnson. He was married Aug. 4th, 1875, to CORA J. CHAMBERLIN, daughter of Elijah and Betsey T. Chamberlin, of Warsaw, NY. They have one child, a son named William McKay Bartlett.
