There were two main BARTLETT lines in MD - one from Talbot Co and one from Somerset Co - both go back to 1600s. I've not seen a SUIT in either. There was a BARTLETT line in Richmond Co from 1725, from Essex Co from its formation, and others, later in VA.I gave you what I had for NC.
I've extracted all BARTLETTs in census 1790-1880 for VA WV MD DC NC SC GA TN KY AR AL, arranged them in families and taken the lines back to pre-RevWar. I can't remember any SUIT connection. For some reason I can't figure out, a lot more men than I thought usual, had Bartlett as a given name about the RevWar timeframe. A Josiah BARTLETT signed the DoI, next after HANCOCK, but he was from New England.
