I am hoping to find living male BARTLETTs from UK BARTLETT lines to participate in the BARTLETT-DNA Project. Founded in 2002, this project has so far identified the Y-DNA "signature" of 20 different lines by matching DNA of descendants. This means none of these lines shares a Common Ancestor with any of the others for at least 1,000 years - think before 1066...
So far we have lines from four different DNA Groups: E (1 line probably with roots in the Balkans 5,000 years ago); R1b (13 lines probably with roots in England 8,000 years ago); I1 and I2 (5 lines probably with Viking roots 8,000 years ago); G (1 line possibly from Celts)
I would like to similarly develop the Y-DNA signature for as many UK BARTLETT lines as we can.
I can send you links and other info if you are interested.
