I just came across this last night.I am the grand daughter of Willard Ernest Bartlett. The following is the information that has been passed on to me and is hopefully correct. John Bartlett was the father of William Bartlett who was born about 1832 in Lytchett, Dorset England. He died March 10, 1906.He married Sarah Maria Arnold who was born about 1833 in Lytchett, Dorset England. They were married on Nov. 1, 1857 in St. Matthew, Bethnal Green, London England.Their children were Anne, and Lillie, born in England . George was born on May 15, 1853 in Ly"matravers, Dorset, England and died on July 11, 1934 in Toronto.William Thomas was born on May 26, 1955 in St. Georges, Middlesex England and died March 10, 1906 at 999 Queen St., Toronto.Ernest George Newman/Bartlett was born Jan 25, 1877 in Toronto, and died August 29, 1953 in Los Angeles Ca.Jesse was born Dec. 22, 1878 in Toronto. William Thomas and Mary Jane McKittrick's children were Ellsie Irene, born April 23, 1879 in Teeswater, Bruce. Co., Ont and died Feb. 25, 1881 in Teeswater.Willie was shorn June 17, 1881 in Toronto, Willard Ernest was born August 14, 1882 in Toronto, and died July 22, 1957 in Orillia, Ontario.Hugh Frederick was born Oct. 3, 1884 in York Co., and died in 1907.Edna Pearle was born Dec. 27, 1886 in Owen Sound, Ont. and died Feb. 10, 1894 in Toronto. Here unnamed twin has no death date so I would assume that she died at birthThomas Edward was born in Toronto and died Nov. 24, 1912 in Toronto.George Percival was born Mar 18, 1891 in Elgin Co. and died May 1i, 1920 at 999 Queen St., Toronto I hope that this helps.Mary Jane McKittrick (Bartlett) is listed as Mary Jane Newman at the time of her father's death but as Mary Jane Bartlett (again) at the time of her death.Willard Ernest went by the name of Ernest Newman/Bartlett but all of his children had the surname Bartlett. We have been unable to find an explanation for this. Can you shed any light here?We cannot find a Newman although we believe that his name was William and that he and Ernest were both railroaders. Also I noticed that your last name is Draper.M;y mother-in-law was a Draper.I wonder if there is a connection here.
