CHRISTINE M. BARTULA, 87, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 11th in her home in Houston, Texas. Christine was born on June 16, 1915 in Houston to Joseph and Anna Kubiak. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church for 42 years, member of the Catholic Daughters of America for 47 years, and a member of the Polish National Alliance. Christine was preceded in death by her husband Anthony (Tony) Bartula, daughter Geraldine Ann Butler and her parents. Her greatest joy in life was her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She is survived by her loving family, sons Ray Bartula and wife Lynnette, John Bartula, son-in-law Al Butler, grandchildren Donna Zaremba, David Bartula and wife Stacey, Dena Tamborella and husband David, John Bartula and wife Adriana, Daren Bartula, great grandchildren Austin Bartula, Connor Bartula, Trent Tamborella, and her brother Ray Kubiak and his wife Vickie. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 7:30 p.m., Friday, September 13, 2002 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, 13102 North Freeway. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 14, 2002 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 3600 Brinkman in Houston. Rite of Committal will be at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery. Memorials may be made in her name to the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church Building Fund.
