Ernest Henry Barwis married Ethel Tranter from Sydenham London. Died 1907. Left 5 chidren, Harry 1900, Ethel May 1902, Edith Ellen ?1904, Edward James 1906, Sidney Ware 1908. Harry, Ethel and Edith were sent to Dr Barnardo's, Edward stayed with mother and Sidney was given to James and Elsie Shearing to bring up. The boys stayed in England and raised their families there but the girls probably emigrated to America possible Texas. Are their any descendants out there? We would love to complete the family tree.
Ethel Barwis the mother married Charles Alexander Stewart a Canadian soldier during the 1914 war. Did she have any more children? Are you a descendant? She died in 1950.At one time she lived in Edmonton London. She had 2 brothers Sidney and Fred. The Tranter family owned a coach and horse business and a laundry in Sydenham in 1900. One brother married a French girl and owned a chateau in France. He then went to America-Texas and remarried. The other brother went to America and Canada. Are you descended from these brothers?
