Unfortunately, the only information I have on them is from US Census records.They lived in Proviso IL, and emmigrated in 1855 from Hanover. Most of the Hanover Battermans I know about come from near the Wunstorf area (just below the Steinhuder Meer). Have you checked any German church records in Proviso.My experience is tey are the best source of information on towns of origin.Please let me know if you have or get more information.
