Hi, I just saw your posting.My Great-Grandfather was Harm Batterman, Jr.He is the son of Harm and Lukea (Smidt) Batterman and was born in Bellingwolde, Groningen, Netherlands.Harm, Jr. married Karolina Drefs on Feb. 24, 1907 in Armour, South Dakota.They had twelve children:Edwina Elsie Wilhelmina, Helena Christina, Martha Magdalena, Albert Johann, Albert William (my Grandfather), Erna Marie, Martha Johanna, William Joseph Harm, Frieda Viola, Minnie Marie Pauline, Norman Ray and Helmuth Reinhold.

Albert William was my Grandfather.Albert married Erma Struck and had two sons, Roland and Glen.He passed away in November of 1994.My father is Roland Batterman who still lives in Tripp, South Dakota.
