Sam'l Batterton, b. 1758, d. June 1833 in Bourbon Co., KY. He m. Lydia (---), who d. June 11, 1833. They are buried at Colville, near Millersburg, on the Cynthiana turnpike.
Moses,James,Eliza.,Nancy & Henry were bros. & sisters and children of Sam'l Batterton b.1758.(See Batterton Ct. Rec.)
Note: Ancestor Michael Hope,father-in-law of Wm. Batterton
named a daughter Cythiana, suggesting a connection to the area where Sam'l Batterton lived. This supports our belief that our Wm. W. Batterton may be related to this family. We need to more about the members of this Batterton family.
