Wow, never heard the Sri-Lanka connection! Do you know if the connection is through Nicie or Lucien? I did find Plummer and Laura in the 1900 Census. Thanks for confirming the relationship. Did Laura have a nickname - Bittie? My Gr. Grandmother's sister, Bittie married a Richardson (Plummer?).Bittie is listed on the 1880 census. She was 14 years old. My Gr. Grandmother(Patsy) is 3 years old. also listed are brothers William (10), Baldie (8), John B (6). I believe there was also a brother named Napolean. A sister named Corneilia (1 yr.) was listed in the same census. Your mother must know me through my Dad (see my reply e-mail to your personal address)or I met her when I was younger.
Also, do you know if Plummer is related to Enoch Richardson (Mannings Township)? Enoch is my Paternal Grandmother's (Pennie)father. He is the only Indian connection I know but not Navaho. Enoch was half Cherokee. What is interesting is that my brother looks exactly like Enoch! Have you been able to confirm the New Mexico/Arizon connection?
The Napolean Bonaparte connection is just family lore I remember hearing as a little girl. I think I have enough research in the US to keep me busy without trying to find the "French connection".Please keep in touch. Would love to meet one of these days...
Diane
