Re: Battle/Battelle marriages in Mass.

hello. I live at battles farm village in brockton, MA, which i guess was named after the Battle(s) family? I wanted to learn more about them...and if anyone knows if there was ever a tragedy in the family concerning two small children--either a drowning or burrying of them alive, in the late 1800's or early 1900's?thanks, laura
