Benjamin Franklin Battles born 10-16-1878
dies on 1-11-1934 he was born in Etowa county alabama.
he moved to carnigie oklahoma and married Mollie Utollie Jones and in 1911 moved to springfield, colo. During the year 1930 he again returned to Oklahoma and was married to Bertha Trotter (My great grandmother)he lived in cache and later came to the home of his mother in Carnigie where he died.
He is survived by his wife, mrs. Bertha Battles, two daughters, Mrs. Viola Whiteker of Wichita, Kansas. (Is she still alive?)>>>
And little Nora Jane Battles, and mother, Mrs. T.E.Battles <<(Tabitha Elizabeth Smith.)
Battles was her married name.

According to my information his father was b/1850 in St. Clair Co, Al or Etowah Co, AL. I have no parents for Tabitha. Presumably Wesley's parents were Caswell Battles (1810,Tn-1881 Greensport beat, St. Clair Co, AL. and Mariah Stovers (1812, GA-1870), Caswell's parents were Noel WIlliam Battles also known as William Noel Battles.
1754, VA-1840 St. Clair Co, AL. and Elizabeth Hopper CA 1740 VA-Bef 1840 AL.
Noel Williams son is Samuel B/CA 1785 who married Nancy Wright.
