Cathy, I have a Richard Battles buried in the Shady Grove Cemetary just out of Leesburg, AL.However, my info differs from yours somewhat.

Richard Battles was married to Mary Lurena Pollard from Pollard's Bend.When she died he married Minnie Kelly.His tombstone has his picture on it.

Is this some connection?I will be glad to share all info I have and compare notes.
