Hi Clara,
Two years is a long time to wait for a response to a message but here I am.I have a photo copy from the 1910 Federal Census for Chilton County Alabama. There is a FRED H. BATTON listed with wife SALLIE. His mother AMANDA is living with them along with children Fred, Minnie, Grady, Framk and Tommie. This may be your family, I am looking for them because I think Sallie is my family connection. She may be my Ggrandfather's half sister. Her maiden name is probably Pearson but she could have used the name Radford. If you know more about this family now please contact me at [email protected].
Her siblings would have been Rebecca Pearson b. about 1852, ( also her mother's name Rebecca Stokes Pearson) Martha Pearson b. about 1853, James Monroe Radford (my ggrandfather), Joseph Radford b. 1858, William Radford b. 1859, George Radford b. 1860, Mary Sue b. 1861, and from the 1870 census for Dallas county, Sarah Pearson 1855, and Pinnellapia Pearson, 1850.These are birth approx. birthdates.
Any information about the family and the areaduring the secont half of the century would be most helpful.I do have a photo of Sallie Batton taken by her daughter Minnie in 1825.It marked a reunion fo sisters Sallie and Mary Sue after 40 years of seperation.Other women in the photo have the names of Friday and Terry and Martin.the pics were taken in Stanton, Alabama.
I hope that this is a connection an d I look forward to hearing from you.
