bau?

My great grandfather, who came from Italy, was João Bahú. I suspect his real name in Italy was Giovanni Bau, and they made a kind of translation in Brazil. The fact is that his grandchildren, including my father, have now the last name Bau (or Baú). The only thing my father knows is that João came with only one brother, whose name I do not know.

João's father was Antonio Bau (Bahú??), and his mother was Margarida Marzzari Bau. I would greatly appreciate if you or somebody you may know could help me to find out if the right name was Bau or Bahu.

I would also like to know something about this celebration in Stoccaredo!
