Re: Baucom's original country of origin

I have run across the same thing, but I am confused about him using Vandergrift as a middle name unless the families were aquinted and maybe his father named him that out of respect for a friend, cousin, etc.or he used the name to distiquish himself from another John Baulcombe. What do you think? I worked with that theory,(his wife being Susannah Vandergrift) but I couldn't get the dates to match up. Do you have new info on the Vandergrift line? Would love to hear your thoughts.
