Your Walter Bauer may be half-brother to my grandmother, Lillian Sophie Bauer.Her father Friedrick Wilhelm Bauer was married to Ida Parke Bauer and had Johanna, Walter, Herbert, Esther, and Oscar.After Ida passed away, he married Mary Elizabeth Grosskurth and had Lillian, Anna Mae, and Billy.As far as I know, Billy is the only one still living - in California.Freidrick's father was Gottlieb Bauer.Many of these Bauers are buried in the Monthalia Christ Evangelical Church Cemetery off FM 466, near Gonzales.
