married to Jason Baugh, his father is Earl baugh from st. Joes MO

Looking to find some of my husbands family, his father is Earl edwin baugh from st. joes MO. We live in Iowa right now but my husband was born in CA, an we lived in fl for 25 years. Don't know much about my hubs family, neither does he. where do i start?
