John Bauman - Maria Meythaler Green Co Wisconsin

Looking for any information about the following person:

Johann (John) Bauman (Baumann)
b. 9 August 1832 in Elsass (Alsace)

Came to America before 1856.

Settled briefly somewhere in PA, possibly Blair County.
While there he married: Maria Meythaler in 1855 and they had their first daughter there, Mary.

The family subsequently moved in 1857 to Green County, Wisconsin, which they made their permanent home. He was a farmer and a stone mason.

He died 8 June 1898 in Monroe.

One of his sons, Emil Bauman, served as an Alderman in Monroe.
