It is kind of enigma, the vacuum between Majorcaand Poland, Lithuania. In XII century Majorca Templars and Joannici were in Spain and Majorca. Name Bauza most likely originated in Majorca. In XIII century both were accepted in Poland, Joannici in city Poznan, as well in region Kujawy. Name Bauza existed in Znin since XVII century (documented in parishes in Znin and vicinity like Bialozewo, Lysinin, Wiecanowo, Jastrzebie, Gora etc.
I tend to think, that a one or few Spanish from Majorca bearing name Bauza migrated to Poland in fear of repressions inflicted on Templars.
Look at "Joannici w Polsce" (and translate it) you may find that there is no conspiracy or coincidence.
By the way, did you go to HOTEL BAUZA in Madrid or Palma and had a good Bauza cigar?
