Since sending in the question, I have found Snowflake, Va via Google search.
I do not per se have a family chart. My notes and files are mostly in handwritten folders. I did try one of the family type tree makers and it wasn't compatible with any other program.
my line as you know does include Peter and Polly A. Bays. From there to;
Wm. b.1840 married Elizabeth Gourley b. 1842.
The Census of 1880 Knox county, Ky has the family listed as BAIS, WM. If you would look it up there you'll find the whole family. That way I won't have to list them for you. I am too lazy to do anything else. I just hate to type, I am just kidding but, it is true about the typing part. LOL
From the son of Wm and Elizabeth G. Bays comes the son George and he too married an Elizabeth Gibson. She too is elusive in finding info on. I have found her parents to be Wm Gibson and Elizabeth Maiden. George and Elizabeth Gibson Bays had 10 children. 1. I realize that I need to do more work to fill in the gaps but, one can only do so much. I did say that I am a bit lazy, right? I have done work on and off on my genealogy since 1994. I mostly work in the winter months but, this year I haven't done so good.
To my knowledge all the children were born in Knox County, Ky.
Thank you for your info and yes, I do know how some times a feeling is there. I have had them all my life. I am just glad that you listen to yours, as most do not. I live here in Knoxville, so I am not that far from Snowflake. I am planning on going there in the next few weeks. I am also going to the Genealogy Jamboree at Cumberland Gap the first week of June of this year. How about you? This will be the first one.
