Bayzer & Dean
Am seeking any information pertaining to Mary E. Bayzer who was the first wife of Benjamin Franklin Dean. They were married on May 18, 1854 in Montgomery Co., AL and she died on Mar. 5 1855, exact place unknown.
There were two households of persons named Bayzer who were early residents of Montgomery Co., AL of whom they were brothers. They were William B. Bayzer and E.J.J. Bayzer. Their relationship is proven by the Will of William B. Bayzer who stated in his Will ÒI do hereby appoint my brother Edward J.J. Bayzer trusteeÉÉ.Ó
The Will of proves that Mary E. Bayzer was not one of WilliamÕs children. Further, it appears there was only one other person who could have been MaryÕs father and that was the elder E.J.J. Bayzer, the brother of William B. Bayzer.
The 1840 census of Montgomery Co., AL shows the age of the elder E.J.J. Bayzer was age 40-50 (b. ca. 1790-1800).
Additional research proves that the William B. Bayzer, as mentioned above, named one of his sons after his brother E.J.J. Bayzer. Mention of this is important in order to not confuse the records of the two E.J.J. Bayzers.
I have not learned the names of all of the children of the elder E.J.J. Bayzer and am seeking help from anyone who is researching the Bayzer families.
