Hi Cathey,
I am researching Samuel C. Beamguard, son of Godfrey Beamguard.I found Godfrey listed as Godfrey BEAMYARD in the 1820 Fairfield District, SC Census.I don't know whether this will help, or whether this was just another variation of the name.I am researching Samuel C. Beamguard m. first to Eliza Clarissa Faries, 2nd to Rebecca McCarter.McCarter (McArthur) is my line.
If you have any info to share, I will be happy to hear from you, and, I will, of course, share whatever I might have.
Catherine McArthur James
