Thomas A. Bean, Bn 1839, Pannsylvania moved to Clarance Township, Shelby County, Missouri as a young man.The 1860 U.S. census recorded that Thomas was a farm hand in Shelby County.Later, he married Sarah Medows and purchased a farm in Clarance Township where the 1870 U.S. census recorded his presence along with his wife and three children; Fanny, Daniel and James.Children who were born later in Missouri were Thomas Warren Bean, Samual Bean, George F. Bean, William Penn Bean, and Nora Bean.Daniel and James moved to Idaho, and were later followed by Samual and William.
As I stated in my original posting, I do not have any information of names for Thomas A. Bean's parents, nor do I have any indication of siblings for Thomas A. Bean. Because both U.S. census records where Thomas Bean is listed states that he was born in Pennsylvania I am confident that is the state of his nativity. But, I am not certain where in Pennsylvania he was born. One of the sons of Thomas A. Bean (James) wrote what looks like a trunkated version of Harrisburg, Penn. next to his father's name.Next to his mother's name (Sarah Medows Bean) he worte Virginia.James also wrote the initial "O" for his father's middle name. Therefore, the person of whom we are conversing may be named Thomas O. Bean.
