Just for the record, Franklin Co., TN and Jackson Co., AL, are border counties. So, there might be a connection after all. Also, there are a lot of Bean, Been, Beene 's, in Marion Co., which borders both of the other counties. One of Marion Co., first settlers was a Bean, who fought in the Rev. War.He is buried in the Bean-Raulston Cem. on Sweetons Creek Rd.
Might be worth another look.
Good Luck
Barry
