Hello Mark, & Joniss. My name is Scott Spencer and I have no idea if we have any connection or not but let me tell you what I know. I have been researching my "Mullins" family line. I have a "Swift Flower Mullins" who was born in 1775. His Dad was Flower Mullins. anyway Swift Flower married "Betsy Bean". My family has it that she was the Princess daughter to "Johny Bean", who was a Cherokee Indian Chief. But because Betsy married a white man she was banned from the Cherokees. Now I know that sounds like a stretch, "But" I have a document where my Gr. Gr. Grandfather John Douglas Mullins had aplied for a grant under the Dawes commission. The document was made in 1908. In he says that he is applying for the grant claiming Indian blood thru his father who was "Swift Flower Mullin" (Jr), and that Johns own grandmother was Betsy Bean. She married "Swift Flower Mullin" (Sr) who was a white man. and that she was 1/2 Cherokee Indian. and that her father was Johnie Bean, Full blooded Cherokee Chief. What do you think do you have any connection. He also mentioned in the Document that he had met Betsys Sister - Ruth Bean. I hope we can connect.
