My name is Jeff Paine, and we have a Columbus Washington Bean, b. in NC abt. 1840, served in Confederacy during the Civil War, m. Mary Smith and had among their children (we don't really know how many) a Selvia Victoria Bean (also spelled Bain), who married Albert Jackson Kinder in Cape Girardeau County, MO. Just found a reference to a CW Bean and a Mary buried at Bean Creek Cemetery in that county.
