Re: The Beans of Nc

My Great Grandfather was Christopher Columbus Bean, b. about 1872. His father was Wiley or Willy Bean (be careful there is a couple of these as there may be a couple of CC Bean s.Wiley was probably son of Thomas "Bartlett" Bean.I found Wiley on the 1870 and 1880 Caldwell County NC Census. He was married to Julia and I believe her last name was Smith. Julia had a son George W. Smith (prior to marriage?????)

Wiley had a daughter named Mary. Christopher Columbus Bean married Candus Elizabeth Bolick and had Otis Pinkney Beane, Bascom Braswell Bean, and Manuel Marcus Bean.Otis, my Grandfather married Edna Jane Cannon. Manuel married Victoria Munday.I would be glad to share anything I have, if I am any help.
