I can not tell you how exciting it was to see your message today.What a great Valentines Day present.I think our mutual grandfather, Thomas Bean must have sent it.I am a direct descendant of Elizabeth Bean who married William Butler.I do not know if you are aware of it, but William was the son of the well know William "The Regulator" Butler who was one of the leaders of the Regulator movement in North Carolina.At one time he had a "Wanted Dead or Alive" warrent out for his arrest offering anyone who brought him in 100 pounds sterling and 1000 acres of land.I have often wondered if Elizabeth's father had been involved in the Regulation movement as well.We have been looking for Elizabeth's partenage for a number of years.It has not been easy with all the Bean families in the area.I am very anxious to communicate with you and see if I could get a copy of Thomas's will.I will send you a personal e-mail as well as posting this message.If there are others out there who also descend from Thomas through Elizabeth or any of her siblings, please write.I have a great deal of information on the Butler family that I would gladly share.
