I do not have the names of all of Jesse Bean's children. His son William died circa 1845.William's widow, Margaret (Rains) and their children, Jesse Bean, Elizabeth Bean, Haggard Bean, and Mary "Polly" Bean, moved to Bond County, Illinois after 1850.Margaret subsequently married James Clanton.
William and Margaret's son Jesse claimed that his grandfather Jesse Bean was from Pennsylvania and had located to Overton /Fentress county in 1798. The earliest record I have of a Jesse Bean is in Overton County, Tennessee, a deed record, Conrad Pile to Jesse Bean, 1812, witnessed by Thomas Rich. Thomas Rich could be his father-in-law.Jesse Bean and wife Elizabeth Bean, formerly Elizabeth Rich, are heirs of Thomas Rich.
Various court records refer to the Bean heirs, unfortunately not naming the heirs. One names a Emeline and Bean heirs, others a Jane Bean as dower, and Catherine Bean heir of Jesse and Jane Bean.I cannot reconcile Elizabeth Rich Bean and Jane Bean with dower rights of Jesse Bean. In a perfect genealogy world they turn out to be the same person.:-)
I have not explored Wayne County records at this point. What strikes you as similiar?
