Greg, Just saw your posting, and thanks very much.My gg-grandfather, George W. Bean, was supposed to have been born somewhere in Virginia in 1806 but have not been able to find him or his father (given name unknown) born there c. 1780. Since W.VA was formed from Virginia, maybe that's where I should be looking, and I'm wondering if your photos may be of help.
