Re: Lucy P. Sampley Married To James B. Bean

My greatgrandfather was Joseph Smith Sampley, who is the father of Lucy Sampley. Her mother was Cynthia Lowery. In 1880, they were in Grayson County, Texas. Listed in the census are Joe, Cynthia, Lucy, David, Jesse, and I can't remember the other one off hand.

James and Lucy are both buried in the Mellette Cemetery which is just outside of Hanna, Oklahoma. My grandma was Spicy Sampley Wall, who was a half-sister of Lucy. When Cynthia died, Joe married Mary Elizabeth Hampton.
