Hi Paul I apologise for taking so long to get back to you.
First offI’m sorry I wasn’tthat clear. The picture I was referring to was of Ernest, the brother (and only one) to my Grandfather William Walter George Beaney.
With the information you have been able to give me I’vebeen able to deduce the following . Your Grandfather Charles was born around 1917 and could have been a son ofErnest & Dorothy Beaney . Ernest was born in 1896-1897 and would have been around 21yrs old when Charles was born.
If you look again at the wedding photo (taken in 1924) Ernest was 28yrs old, although he looks older maybe due to hisserving in the navy during the 1st World War.Charles to be his sonwould need to have been about 7-8yrs old at this time. Intriguingly right at the front of the photo is an unknown boyalong withtwo unknown toddlers who could well fit this description. It certainly makes sense that theboy in the photo should have close family links with adults in this group.
Interesting stuff I think you’d agree. I’m going to do further research on seeing if I can find a birth certificate for your Grandfather Charleslinking him to Ernest & Dorothy. It would help me if you could give me any further info that could help establish if this link is real or not. Example: Charles’s place of birth. Name of Charles’s wife. Names of children they hadincluding your own father.
The information I have on my great uncle Ernest regarding his age I got from the 1891 & 1901 Census’s . You can find these by goingonto my sitewww.beaneyfamily.netclicking on TREE -then clicking on photos (that are side by side) of either William (Bill) Beaney or Gladys Weal - Thenscroll down to find the Census links.
Hope to hear from you soonBob Beaney
P.S By the wayI’m 56yrs old. Which would give you a better understanding of where generationalyI fit in.
