Jacob Asbury Bear b. 11-19-1849 d. 9-16-1927 Rockingham Cty, Va. buried in Elk Run Cemetery Elkton, Va.
Married Frances Cornelia Brubaker (Fanny)b. 3-10-1856 Page Cty, Va. d. 2-14-1939 Rockingham Cty, Va. also buried Elk Run Cem.
They had 7 children:

Anna Cornelia Bear b. 9-23-1882 d. 8-6-1884 buried Elk Run Cem.

John Decatur Bear b. 7-2-1885 d. 9-25-1914 Married in July of 1908 to Lilly O'Rear b. 4-9-1887 d. 5-1-1970 both buried Elk Run Cem.
They had one daughter.

Laura Lilia Bear b. 7-30-1888 married on 4-6- 1914 to Edward Bradstreet Dunford. They had one daughter. Settled in Riverdale, Md.

Jacob Warfield Bear b. 8-9-1891 d. 6-20-1962 married in 1917 to Carrie V. Strange 1895/1984. They had a son and a daughter, then divorced. Jacob is buried in Elk Run Cem. and Carrie is buried in Prospect Hill Cem. Front Royal, Va.

Frances Eugene Bear b. 2-17-1894 d. 4-9-1966 married Rebecca Claire Narrigan Clendaniel. (My husbands grandparents)They settled in Philadelphia, Pa. and had one son ( my father in law)and three daughters.

Jenneys Boland Bear b. 10-7-1899 d. 6-21-1900 buried Elk Run Cem.

Katherine Elizabeth Hall Bear (Libby)b. 3-3-1908 married Sigmond L. Von Gemmingen
