Could your John Henry be bro. of Martin H. Beard b. 1831? His father was John Beard b. 1795 we think in SC, married to Elizabeth ??
They had Martin, married to Emaline Hutto.
Huldah married to Wm. Hutto (Emaline's bro).
Martha Ann b.1835 nothing else known of her.
Family story has that one of "the Beards"
moved to TX.Also, they lived in & around
N. Alabama & S. Tennessee.
