Have you found anything further out about James M. Beard? I have a Patricia Ann Beard in my family. She was b. about 1875 and m. Jesse V. Crane. They moved to SD and had 2 children: Oliver and Ethel Crane. She d. about 1908 of consumption. I do not know who her parents are or the names of any siblings. Do you have any of this info?
