Re: Beards in Maryland (late 1700's-1800's)

I am looking for any information re: the parents of William H (Henry?) Beard — b. 8 Jan 1796 maybe in Washington Co. MD — m. Catherine Firey 1817 —d. 1849 Clear Springs Washington, Co. MD, — buried St Paul E + R Lutheran Church, Clear Springs. Some reason to believe he may have been born in PA and migrated to MD -– also reason to think he was born in MD.
Their second son was Jacob b.1820 in Clear Springs, MD d. 1899.
This son married Mary E. Byers1846 Hagerstown, MD and migrated toPreble County, OH in 1855
John D. Beard was 6th son of Jacob and Mary. He wasb. 1855 in MD (just before they headed west) and was my grandfather.
