I appreciate your concern about panic and that is certainly not my intent. I have just noticed what seems to be a higher than "normal" rate among those of the past two generations of the family I have studied and wanted to make sure it is not more than a coincidence.
I am in the USA. My mother and I had the same type of tumor and at the same age. In my contacts with others who have had this tumor (outside the family), there seems to be an unusually high percentage who also have MS themselves or a family member who has it. My sister has MS.
Another branch of the family has a woman whose uncle and son both had tumors.
Sorry, didn't mean to spread fear, but want to be careful for our children.
