I am seeking information on "Patsy" Shields (probably named Martha)who was married to John L. Beard.She is the sister of John Camden Shields.John L. Beard and "Patsy," his wife, George Shields, John C. Shields, and others are named in a suit filed in the Rockbridge Chancery Records.

I have found several documents from Civil War papers that identify various Beards as nephews of John Camden Shields (my husband's great-great grandfather).
