Beaty, Beatty, Families in Wilkinson, Adams and/or Amite Counties, MS
I am looking for any information on the Beattie, Beaty, Beatie, Beatty families of Wilkinson, Amite and/or Adams counties, Mississippi.
My great great grandfather was David Beaty m. Mary Liza Felter in Wilkinson County. We're are not sure if he is connected to the Beaty family of Holmes County, Ms or not.If he is the same person as David Beaty - son of David and Elizabeth R. Beaty, then we need to know how & why he came about being in Wilkinson County. If not, then we have hit a brick wall & cannot confirm his birthday nor his parents.I do know that he supposed served in the Civil War but he has been connected to the one from Holmes County who served in Red's Rebels & this is where it gets a little confusing.I have different birth years - 1837 and 1848 for him.
I also have a picture of an unidentified man whom we think may be David Beaty. However, no other family members can ever recall seeing pictures of him.I do have a picture of his wife also.We think this could be our David Beaty because he favors one of his sons - Benjamin Walter (my great grandfather)- greatly around the eyes and with his skin coloring.
If anyone has any kind of information that may relate to this, PLEASE email me at email@example.com.I also need information regarding the following marriages all of which took place in Wilkinson County:
