Re: A.J.Beaty b.1848 married to Didama b.1850 Fentress Co. TN
The 1880 census, taken in May, shows Diadama as head of household and there is an A.J. Beaty listed in FENTRESS COUNTY FOOTPRINTS (cemetery book) as having died in April, 1880 due to having been struck by an axe.I believe this was Diadama's husband. She is also listed in the 1900 census as head of household with children, James, born abt. 1885 & Hattie, born abt. 1890.Do you know the father(s)of these children?
Where I have seen 1827 Noah Buck's wife's maiden nameas Davidson is in a copy of a letter written by Gertie Allie Mae (Beaty) Smith. The letter was written abt. 1956.Apparently Gertie's granddaughter had asked about her ancestors.I quote from the letter:My grandpa Beaty (David Cooley Beaty) had been married and had 5 children, 2 boys, 3 girls when he married my grandma. She (Polly Pulse) had 5 children, 4 boys, 1 girl. After he married Grandma they went to Dallas Texas, lived there till Grandpa Beaty died when Papa (Pleasant Cast Beaty) was 7 years old.Johnny Pulse was my great grandpa.I don't know what my great grandma's name was.Papa always called her Granny Pulse. My Mama's name was Elizabeth Buck but they called her Betty. My grandma's name was ANNIE DAVIDSON.She married Noah Buck, Tommy Buck's son.Annie and Noah Buck, my grandparents on Mama's side.Tommy Buck, my great grandpa, was a Baptist preacher and a shoemaker.I don't know what my great grandma's name was.All I know is Granny Buck.
I'm still interested in finding out what the maiden name of Abigail is, 1780 John Beaty's wife.
