Appolonia Becker Bruce can be found in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, starting with the 1860 Census where she is age 24, married to Augustus Bruce, age 29, a ship's carpenter. Both reported they were born in Prussia.
Her name is spelled Apalone in the 1860 Census, Ablonia in 1870. However, their oldest child, son William George Bruce, published a number of books that include family details and he spelled it Appolonia.[I believe the information you have about her is from page 303 of his book, "I was Born in America."]
See here for William's brief biography and mentions of his parents Augustus F. Bruce and Appolonia Becker Bruce [scroll down the page to the bio]:

Augustus and Appolonia's children, all born in Wisconsin, were:
William George Bruce, born in 1856
Albert, about 1857
Augustus, about 1858
Emma, about 1864
Ida, about 1867
Clara or Carrie, about 1869
Martin P. Bruce, about 1871
Emelia Bruce, about 1873
Elida Bruce, about 1877
Appolonia died sometime before 1880 because by that year August Bruce, 49, had remarried a woman named Elizabeth, recorded as born in France. You can see the family in 1880 at http://www.familysearch.org/http://www.familysearch.org/ -- search for August Bruce and choose the one born in 1831 under the 1880 Census.
Son Martin Bruce <1871> was my great-grandfather [his daughter Beatrice Bruce married Harry E. Bradley]so Appolonia was my gg-grandmother.
How are you related to her? Please share anything else you have learned, okay? Thanks!
