Hi, I am descendant of Samuel Beckett I from Chester, Chershire England. His son Samuel Beckett II and his wife Hannahattended the Quaker Meeting House in Clouster NJ wand came to Canada in 1799.Their son Samuel III came to Canada from PA in 1794.After a short stint at the Yonge St. Meeting House they all ended up in Pelham Twp. in the Niagara area of Ontario.Arriving with Samuel II was his brother Stephen Beckett. The two brothers married two sisters Samuel married Eunice Bradshaw b.1782 d. 1861-71 while Stephen married Sarah Bradshaw b. 1792 d. 1815.Stephen and Sarah had no children. The Bradshaw's, relatives of William Penn, emigrated to Canada in 1800.All are buried in the Pelham Friends Cemetery (Quaker), Pelham Ontario.I am interested in the early Beckett History (arrival in the US).
I don't know if this is of any interest to you or if there is a connection. The Gloucester NJ connection may be a starting point. They were supposed to have attended the Woodbury Meeting House in Clouster NJ.This is were my interest begins.Hope you can help.
