Is anyone familiar with the few Becrafts who were living in Ripley Co., IN in the mid to late 1800's. One was Franklin or Patrick Franklin who was the son of William and Nancy (Caseldine) Becraft. He married Emmeline Tucker. I cannot find them in 1870. They had I believe four children and the only one I find for sure who married and had children is Mary who married George Washington Meyers. I thought I had found William, the eldest but now am not so sure it is the right William Becraft. If you have been working on this particular line, I would love to exchange info and ideas with you. I have lots of info from the Ripley County Historical Society but nothing so far that tells me what happened to Frank and Emma between 1860 and 1870.The other mystery concerns Jackson Becraft, another son of William and Nancy. He married Permelia Mozingo. They lived in Ripley Co., then went to Davis Co., IA and into MO and back to Ripley Co., I cannot seem to find any descendants. I have several "possibles" but nothing with any kind of proof. I would also like to confirm Permelia's ancestry.
