My mother's grandparents were Francois Roger and Rose Delima Bedard from Roxton Falls, Quebec. His father Francois, came from St. Vincent de Paul, Ile Jesus where he was born in 1801. I found his burial record recently and would appreciate some help translating it as it seems to have more than the usual information.
This sepulture record comes from St. Jean Baptiste, Roxton Falls, Shefford County, Quebec. If someone could please translate it correctly for me I'd be most grateful.
What I interpret that to mean is that Francis Roger was buried on Sept 8, 1862 in the parish cemetery, who died suddenly two days previously. Then the matter involving Narcisse Trudeau I don't understand. Is this about a jury trial, or an election?
If you want to see the original, it is with the Drouin Collection at Ancestry under the name of Francois Roger, Sepulture at Roxton Falls.
