I have never posted on a site before so please forgive if I seem lost.
I have been researching the Bellinger/Pion family of IN and MI for about 16 years. Jeremiah (Andrew, Philip,Johan Philip, Johannes, Deterich, Hans). Jeremiah was born in NY although I have had difficulty finding the necessary information confirming my data by census.Jeremiah (b; 9 May 1812, d; Kalkaska, MI). He married Ann Elizabeth Bort(b; 1810 d; Kalkaska, MI) in 1832 in New York.They had 8 children;
Solomon Danford; (b; 1833, NY) Andrew J ( b; Oct 1834 NY d; 1915 Grand Rapids, MI) Maria Elizabeth (b; 10 Oct 1836, NY) Catherine J (b; 1831, NY d; 1915 Grand Rapids, MI) George (b; 1842, NY ) Emma A (b;1845, NY) James A (b; 1849, NY d;12 Sep 1893, East Jordan, Charlevoix, Michigan, USA Francis A; b; 1850, NY
I read a blog that stated that Andrew and Caty moved to Il. That throws a monkey wrench in my research. (pretty involved to say how). I had them going to MI then to South Bend Indiana.Just for general bragging rights. This family went on to be some of the earliest pioneers in Kalkaska MI. There is still family that lives in the old stone house. Another part of this family helped develop and build the Fort Wayne Indiana area. I say help build as they became prominent master brick and stone masons. This family is the main line to my over 4000 Bellingers and Pions in the Indiana/ MI area. By the way. The Pions' and Bellingers' were very good friend and had a couple marriages between them. I am planning a research trip to Indiana through MI to complete some research for a book (not genealogy)I am writing. Any clarification of data would be very helpful.
