You posted this so long ago - 2001 - I hope you are still available here. We corresponded years ago about the Bennetts of Lightwood Log Creek & you were so very helpful, knowing so much of the local history. I'm still pursuing my Benjamin & John & the family tale that John was a lacksmith/gunsmith,made trinkets to sell to the Indians & was an Indian Trader.
In reading Bartrum's "Travels" thru that area 1773-1775: Could you tell me about Fort Prince George- its dates & proximity to the L.L.Creek area? Also if Indian traders were licensed or any records of them?
