Re: BENNINGER PRONUNCIATION

My last name is also Benninger.I was born and raised in Iowa, but have lived in California since college (1957).There are only a few left in my home town with that surname.I'm wondering how all of you pronounce it.We've always pronounced it Ben-ning-er with the accent on the first syllable.Most of my life (except in Iowa and Germany), people have pronounced it Ben-nin-jer.Just curious--
