Frances Benson, or ?????

I am researching the remote possibility that Frances Benson, born about 1784 in Greenville, South Carolina, may have a corrupted surname..."Bennison", or "Bennitson".

Frances married Willian Duncan, born 1774-1780 in Prince William County, Virginia.William and Frances were married in 1853 in Cannon or Warren County, Tennessee.

Some ancestral records reflect that Frances' surname may have been "Bentson", or other records indicate her surname may have been "Benson".Research has not tied down her surname, conclusively, and she does not clearly appear in any substantive Benson databases.
